Eline van der Vlist (1970, the Netherlands) is an independent curator and researcher.
Eline’s projects include
Passage (2006), an exhibition of contemporary video art that took place in London Waterloo station and Paris Gare du Nord. Eline is part of the curatorial team of
imagine art after, a multi-stage project that brings together migrant artists and filmmakers who made a home in London with those who stayed in their country of origin. New projects commissioned by
imagine art after were exhibited at Tate Britain from 5 October 2007 - 6 January 2008. The project continues with a second edition. Eline worked for the curator of the South London Gallery in 2006. She was assistant-curator for the exhibition by Adel Abdessemed at L’appartement 22 in Rabat (2006). Eline is currently doing PhD research at the London Consortium looking into questions and problems associated with biennials and international art manifestations on the African continent, under supervision of Augustus Casely-Hayford. She writes reviews for
Modern Painters magazine.
